The Classroom Experience

The core ideas of the program remain consistent across grade levels, while expansion materials allow the concepts to be explored in ways that are appropriate for students’ developmental stages and real-life experiences.

“In the three years that I have been utilizing the From Me to We program in my classroom, I have seen students turn from seemingly uncaring young adults into aware members of the class community.

The curriculum gives me the language, activities, and structure to help students recognize one another in ways that simply were not happening before.”

The Experience in Practice

How the Classroom Experience Unfolds

The From Me to We Classroom Experience typically unfolds through a series of classroom visits that allow students time to explore ideas, reflect on their experiences, and gradually strengthen the relationships within their classroom community.

Session 1 — Awareness

Students begin exploring how perception shapes the way we see ourselves and the people around us. Through conversation and reflection, they begin to notice how awareness influences the way we treat one another.

Session 2 — Recognition

Students begin recognizing the value present in their classmates and exploring how this recognition influences respect and interaction within the classroom.

Session 3 — Appreciation

Students explore how appreciation strengthens relationships and helps build a classroom environment where individuals feel seen, valued, and supported.

Session 4 — Integration

Students reflect on what they have discovered and consider how awareness, recognition, and appreciation can continue shaping the way they relate to one another.

The From Me to We Classroom Experience

The classroom experience invites students to explore the meaning of respect while developing the capacities of awareness, recognition, and appreciation within their classroom community.

Through classroom sessions, reflection, and shared conversation, students begin to recognize the value in themselves and in one another.

The experience is designed to be facilitated through guided classroom visits rather than requiring teachers to study and deliver a traditional curriculum.

Why It Matters for Learning

Adaptable for Different Developmental Stages

Designed to Support Academic Learning

The curriculum is designed to complement existing academic work rather than compete with it, helping strengthen the relational foundation that supports learning.

As students develop the ability to recognize value in one another, the intrinsic motivation to care for one another and contribute to the life of the classroom naturally begins to grow.

Flexible Across Age Groups

The core ideas of the program remain consistent across grade levels, while expansion materials allow the concepts to be explored in ways that are appropriate for students’ developmental stages and real-life experiences.
